Terms of Service
01 Acceptance of Terms
Welcome to Furri ("we," "us," or "our"). By downloading, installing, accessing, or using the Furri mobile application, website, or any related services (collectively, the Service), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (Terms). If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not access or use the Service.
These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Furri. Please read them carefully. Your continued use of the Service after any updates to these Terms constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
02 Description of Service
Furri is a community-driven pet health and wellness platform designed to help pet owners monitor, manage, and improve the health of their animal companions. The Service includes, but is not limited to:
- Pet health dashboards and personalised routine tracking for dogs, cats, fish, reptiles, rabbits, birds, and more.
- Preventative Care Rings for vaccination, flea/tick treatment, and heartworm cycle management.
- Growth and weight tracking with interactive charts and trend analysis.
- Daily hydration and nutrition logging tools.
- A real-time Community Feed where users can post tips, stories, and questions.
- The Health Vault — encrypted document storage for vet records, lab results, and vaccination certificates.
- A Referral & Rewards Program providing points and incentives for community participation.
- AI-powered health insights (available in Furri+ Premium tier upon full launch).
Furri is not a veterinary service. Nothing within the Service constitutes professional veterinary advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Always consult a qualified veterinarian for medical decisions about your pet.
03 Eligibility & Accounts
To use Furri you must:
- Be at least 13 years of age (or the minimum age of digital consent in your jurisdiction, whichever is higher).
- Provide accurate, current, and complete registration information including a valid email address.
- Maintain the security of your account credentials and not share your password with any third party.
- Promptly notify us at support@furri.one of any unauthorised use of your account.
You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. Furri reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that provide false information or violate these Terms.
One person may not maintain multiple accounts without our prior written consent. Accounts created by automated means are strictly prohibited.
04 Beta Program
By participating in the Beta program you acknowledge that:
- The Service may contain bugs, errors, or incomplete functionality.
- Data stored during Beta may be subject to loss, migration, or deletion during updates or at the conclusion of the Beta period.
- Features that are free during Beta — including core health tracking — may become paid features in the commercial release (v1.0).
- Furri is not liable for any loss of data, pet health records, or community content that occurs during the Beta period.
- You may be asked to provide feedback. Any feedback you submit may be used by Furri to improve the Service without any obligation to you.
We will provide reasonable notice before migrating from Beta to the full commercial product. Beta users in good standing will receive preferential access to Furri+ Premium features as a thank-you for their early support.
05 User Content
Furri allows you to upload, post, and share content including pet profiles, photos, health logs, community posts, tips, stories, and documents (User Content). You retain ownership of your User Content. By submitting User Content to Furri you grant us a worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive licence to host, display, reproduce, and distribute your content solely for the purpose of operating and improving the Service.
You represent and warrant that:
- You own or have the necessary rights to the content you submit.
- Your content does not infringe any third-party intellectual property, privacy, or other rights.
- Your content is accurate and does not contain deliberately false or misleading health information about animals.
- You have obtained the consent of any identifiable individuals who appear in photos or videos you upload.
We reserve the right to remove any User Content that violates these Terms or our Community Standards at our sole discretion, with or without notice.
06 Community Standards
The Furri Community Feed is built on respect — for animals, for their owners, and for each other. The following conduct is strictly prohibited:
- Posting content that promotes or depicts animal abuse, neglect, or cruelty in any form.
- Harassment, bullying, threats, or hate speech directed at any user or group.
- Sharing misinformation about animal health, veterinary treatments, or medications that could endanger pets.
- Spam, unsolicited advertising, phishing links, or pyramid/referral schemes outside of our official Referral Program.
- Impersonating veterinarians, Furri staff, or other users.
- Sharing explicit, adult, or otherwise inappropriate content unrelated to pet care.
- Attempting to manipulate the Community Points or Rewards system through fraudulent activity.
Violations may result in immediate content removal, suspension of Community features, or permanent account termination. Serious violations involving animal welfare may be reported to relevant authorities.
07 Pet & Health Data
Furri collects and stores detailed data about your pets including species, breed, age, weight, vaccination records, medication schedules, and veterinary documents. You acknowledge that:
- This data is provided voluntarily by you and is used solely to power the features of the Service.
- Furri does not share identifiable pet health data with third parties for advertising or commercial profiling.
- Aggregated and anonymised data may be used to improve the Service, generate app-wide health insights, and inform product development.
- Documents stored in the Health Vault are encrypted at rest. However, no digital storage system is completely infallible and you should maintain independent copies of critical veterinary records.
08 Privacy & Data
Your privacy matters to us. Our Privacy Policy describes in full how we collect, use, store, and protect your personal information. By using the Service you consent to the data practices described in the Privacy Policy.
Key principles of our data approach:
- We do not sell your personal data or your pet's health data to advertisers or data brokers.
- You may request a copy of all data we hold about you or your pets at any time via privacy@furri.one.
- You may request deletion of your account and associated data. Some data may be retained for legal compliance purposes as outlined in our Privacy Policy.
- The Service uses Firebase (Google) for data persistence and authentication. Firebase's own terms and privacy policies apply to infrastructure-level data handling.
09 Intellectual Property
The Furri name, logo, visual design system, app interface, code, copy, and all other proprietary elements of the Service are owned by Furri and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other applicable intellectual property laws.
You may not:
- Copy, reproduce, or distribute any part of the Service without our express written permission.
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the Furri app.
- Use the Furri name, logo, or branding in any way that implies endorsement by or affiliation with Furri without our consent.
- Create derivative works based on the Service's design or codebase.
The Furri brand identity — including the warm amber and golden palette, the community-first philosophy, and the paw-and-letters logomark — is our creative property and may not be imitated or used commercially without written authorisation.
10 Paid Features & Billing
Core health tracking is free during Beta. The v1.0 commercial release will introduce Furri+ Premium, a paid subscription tier. When paid features launch:
- Subscription fees will be clearly disclosed before purchase. All prices are inclusive of any applicable taxes.
- Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the renewal date.
- Refunds are handled in accordance with the policies of the relevant app store (Apple App Store / Google Play Store).
- We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days' notice to active subscribers.
- Community Rewards Points earned during Beta are non-transferable and have no monetary value outside of the Furri Rewards Programme.
Cash prizes offered through the Referral & Social Rewards programme are paid via PayPal or Stripe upon verification of qualifying activity. One prize per user. Prizes are subject to change during Beta. See the in-app Referral section for current reward tiers.
11 Disclaimers
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT.
We do not warrant that:
- The Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free at all times.
- Any errors or bugs will be corrected within any specific timeframe.
- The Service will be compatible with all devices, operating systems, or network configurations.
- Health data, reminders, or alerts generated by the Service are medically accurate or complete.
12 Limitation of Liability
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, FURRI AND ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, PARTNERS, AND SUPPLIERS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:
- Loss of pet health data or Health Vault documents.
- Missed medication, vaccination, or treatment reminders due to app errors or downtime.
- Any harm to your pet resulting from reliance on information displayed in the app.
- Loss of Community Points, Rewards, or referral credits.
- Unauthorised access to your account or data despite reasonable security measures.
In jurisdictions that do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties or the limitation of liability for consequential or incidental damages, our liability is limited to the fullest extent permitted by law. Our total aggregate liability to you shall not exceed the amount you paid to Furri in the twelve months preceding the claim, or USD $50, whichever is greater.
13 Termination
You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time via the in-app Settings menu or by contacting support@furri.one.
Furri may suspend or permanently terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without cause and with or without notice, including but not limited to the following circumstances:
- Violation of these Terms, including Community Standards breaches.
- Suspected fraudulent, abusive, or illegal activity.
- Extended inactivity (accounts inactive for more than 24 consecutive months).
- Discontinuation of the Service or specific features.
Upon termination, your right to access the Service ceases immediately. Sections of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination — including Intellectual Property, Disclaimers, Limitation of Liability, and Governing Law — shall continue to apply.
14 Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from or relating to these Terms or the Service shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation in the first instance.
If a dispute cannot be resolved informally within 30 days, the parties agree to submit to binding arbitration, with each party bearing its own legal costs. Nothing in this clause prevents either party from seeking injunctive relief in a court of competent jurisdiction to protect intellectual property rights or prevent irreparable harm.
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.
15 Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes in the Service, applicable law, or our business practices. When we make material changes we will:
- Update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
- Send a notification via the Furri app or to the email address associated with your account.
- In the case of significant changes, provide at least 14 days' notice before the new Terms take effect.
Your continued use of the Service after the effective date of revised Terms constitutes your acceptance. If you do not agree to the revised Terms, you must stop using the Service and may delete your account.
